Why We Use Bots

MotoSpy uses automated bots to collect public product pricing from retailer product endpoints so we can show up-to-date comparisons, deal detection, and price history.

How Collection Works

• We request product data linked to products in our catalog.
• Requests are rate-limited, retried carefully, and spread across time.
• Only pricing and related public product fields are processed.

Identity and Transparency

We maintain a machine-readable bot IP list endpoint at /api/bot-ips and use a consistent request user-agent for store collection.

Collection Boundaries

We do not collect private account pages, checkout data, or personal user information from stores. Collection is limited to publicly accessible product pricing resources.
